Does He Hear? Life Devotions for Youth from Psalm 139
Author: Martha A. Harper
Archway Publishing

Foreword:
I have much appreciation for Martha and this devotional guide.
She has given much thought to the generations that will come
behind her and offers easy to follow devotions intended
to be used one day at a time. We are all very different and
encounter so many different challenges, yet we still can relate
to each other through God’s Word.

Many scenarios outlined may or may not have specifically
happened to you, but there is a relatable element in each
thought for the day. I applaud Martha for her desire to offer
this spiritually minded material and you for seeking to read
through it. As a youth minister for over a decade, I am
convinced that the personal investment in material such
as this book will be a great benefit to
your personal walk with God.

Where are you looking for self-assurance, comfort, and direction? Some seek academic excellence or
sports popularity; others seek release or comfort through drugs, alcohol, social connections (personal
or internet), or even suicide. “Does God Hear?” is a book providing insight into your creator who
hears your cries. There are hard questions about difficulties you face in daily life. The devotions are
intended to encourage you to reach out to the scripture and trust God who does have answers and
is listening, waiting for you to approach Him.
